In his April 16th set diary Jackie says, "Since we've now moved to Germany, I'll be teaching you two new German words or phrases everyday. Hopefully, I've taught enough Thai words so that you can get by when you travel to Thailand. To start off, I'll teach you the only three German phrases that I know. The rest of the words and phrases I'll introduce in this diary will be either from Anthony or someone else who actually speaks German.

Unlike the Thai language, German does have a standardized way of writing, so I will also give you the proper pronunciation of the words."
