This is a Hong Kong hazard - bent and broken umbrellas. When it rains in Hong Kong, the wind often kicks up and as a result, umbrellas are obliterated. After a big rainstorm you will see many dead umbrellas sticking up out of garbage bins all over the city.

 

 

No matter where you are in the world, you will see signs reminding you to be cautious of children.

 

"Wax-burning is not allowed." Not quite sure what this means, but since the fine is large, perhaps it's best to leave your wax-burning gear at home.

 

 

The tip of a mountain rises up behind the buildings of Kowloon Tong.

 

 

Hong Kong Disneyland opened in September, 2005 and advertisements featuring the famous mouse are everywhere. The MTR built a special rail line straight to Disneyland!

 

 

Reminders in the MTR to be polite and considerate.
