The Myth Resumes Filming in Beijing

According to a report at Sina, the movie has resumed filming after a break. The weather is cold in Beijing - a big contrast to the extreme heat the crew endured in the Chinese countryside.

A little bit about Thanksgiving, by Lisa Schwark:

Like most of America's holidays, Thanksgiving is a mix of many traditions from several places. For many, Thanksgiving is a day to be grateful for what we have. We gather with family and the people we care for and celebrate having each other. Many places of business are closed on Thanksgiving so people can be with their families. The traditon is to make a turkey, have cranberries or something made with cranberries (I personally cannot eat the jelly stuff out of the can) and pie and whatever favorite foods will fit on the table. In Wisconsin many people will play a game of football since the weather is cool but there is still no snow.
I personally like this holiday because it doesn't involve giving gifts. You get together and are just thankful for what you already have and the people around you.
Click here to visit a web site that has some nice, easy to read information about Thanksgiving.

One Way Around the Estate Tax

Photo: Porro

You can't take it with you when you die, as the old saying goes, but action-movie legend Jackie Chan may well have found the next best thing.

Chan, who is nearing his 100th movie and has made billions, revealed his latest dream on a radio talk-show on Sunday: To die owing the banks $15 billion.

"That way I don't have to pay the money back, and I won't have to worry about my family going to court over the inheritance and causing all sorts of scandals," he joked.

During the interview, Chan also praised his son, Jaycee Fong Cho-ming. According to Chan, Fong has never asked him about the size of his inheritance. Aside from giving his parents each a $100 red packet as a token of appreciation, Fong had wanted to give the rest of his first pay cheque to charity.

"Maybe he's influenced by me," said Chan, "but he doesn't really have any concept of money."

The appearance of that page has been causing the Kids Corner webmaster to do this:

SO........The Kids Corner has a new web host now! That means that all the files and pages that make up the Kids Corner have moved to a new "storage area" on the Internet. This new company promises a 99.95% "uptime" meaning that the chances of the Kids Corner being out of service are VERY VERY SMALL. The Kids Corner webmaster apologizes for all the outages and has done everything to make sure that it won't happen again.

If you find a link or image on the Kids Corner that is not working properly, please send an email and we'll fix it. Thanks!

Seventeen year-old Rebecca from Germany wrote in to the Kids Corner about a very unique and adorable project she made:

Hi! I have seen the Buddy Bears on Jackie´s Homepage for the first time a few days ago and decided to make my own bear. I didn´t just want to paint a bear, so I made my own figure and coloured it.

No retirement for martial arts legend Jackie Chan

SINGAPORE - Hong Kong film legend Jackie Chan will perform martial arts stunts as long as he can and has no plans to retire after turning 50 this year, but he said on Wednesday he might like to direct a film.

Chan, who performs most of his own gravity-defying stunts and came close to death in 1985 after falling from a tree and splitting open his skull, says he would like to make more action movies both in Hollywood and Asia.

"I don't know how far I can go, but I'll just keep going. I feel I still can do it," Chan told a news conference in Singapore, where he is promoting the share market listing of Hong Kong-based film company Media Asia Entertainment Group Ltd.

"Movies are my business and movies are my job...but if I am not in front of the screen then I would become a director or producer," he said.
